A continent is a mainland hypothetical lost for any reason no longer exists. A prime example is Atlantis, which according to Greek myth, sinking to the seabed. Here is a list of four continents disappear.
1. Mu
When a traveler and writer Augustus Le Plongeon explored Maya ruins in Yucatan, he claimed to have translated one of the four Maya codices are known. According to a translation, Maya civilization far older than the Egyptians and Greeks, and that the manuscript is also said to an even older continent: Mu. According to Le Plongeon, Mu lies somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean and, comparable to the Atlantis, was sunk by a terrible earthquake. Book of Survival Savage JH Moore went so far as to claim that human beings may have evolved from species that lived in Lemuria, despite evidence that is now lost to the sea.
However, the core of Lumeria is that he must sink to the bottom of the sea, that science is all too happy to call stacking. However, there is something for India-Madagascar connection. The two countries never connected, but India broke away millions of years ago, especially without sinking.

However, most modern discussions on the subject of the opinion that he might have been referring to Norway, Iceland's Scandinavian or not, so he might have been onto something when he did not lie his ass off.

Another entry from the ancient Greeks, the earliest reference we are still living to the land of Hyperborea from 450 BC, although reference is made to at least three works are also missing. The land was allegedly further north than the other and the home of the Hyperboreans, a giant race clear with divine blood.
In Hyperborea sun shining twenty-four hours a day and sets only once a year. Some texts refer to a single day on the continent that lasted one year compared to our standard measurement of time. Add more to this strange magic giant, Hyperboreans supposedly lived a thousand years of their time. That is, three hundred and sixty-five days they were the equivalent of a super year. This silly old credited to their perfect society free of the disease and war. People are just going to hang all day making music and such.
That is still there from what we know from the myth of people, outside of a legend. One charged that the soldiers of Atlantis had been planning a massive invasion of Hyperborea but retreated once they realized that they were friendly giant weird. Others claim that the Perseus slayed Medusa in Hyperborea than Libya, which sort of conflict in the community is perfect, but whatever.
